The World is our Oyster--Well, the Inland Waterway System at Least!

Yes, we have a plan for next year. Trev wants to do the River Thames again. Surely there can't be floods two years running.......... So our plan is:

Along the Llangollen to its junction with the Shropshire Union.
Right onto the Shroppie and then all the way to the end of the Shropshire Union Canal, at Autherley Junction, just north of Wolverhampton.
Left at Autherley, on to the Staffs and Worcs Canal, to its Junction with the Trent & Mersey Canal.
All along the Trent and Mersey Canal to Shardlow, in Derbyshire, where it meets the River Soar at Derwent Mouth.
Here we shall turn right onto the Soar and through Leicester, joining the Grand Union, Leicester branch.
On to Norton Junction and turn left to join the main Grand Union.
Then all the way down to London, staying for a week or so in Little Venice and visiting the sights.
Then out at Limehouse and up the Thames on the white knuckle run on the tidal Thames, all the way up to Richmond where it becomes non-tidal.
After that we shall take our time on a slow saunter up the Thames, going down the River Wey to Godalming and back.
Then on up the Thames through Oxford and right up to the end of the navigable Thames to Lechlade.

That's about as far as we've got with our plan, but I think that should take most of the summer!

So, come and join us, if only in cyberspace!
